Ted’s Recommended Resources

This is a list of tried, true, and trusted resources that I recommend to any entrepreneur. I use many of them when I teach my college level business classes. I’ve used them all and have passed my test for “Presidential Quality”.

Let’s jump in.

Books: Business & Leadership

  • Never Eat Alone - This is by far the best book ever written on professional networking. More more feeling like a used car salesman after reading Keith’s book.

  • Never Eat Alone - The fastest, easiest, and most reliable system for getting more clients than you can handle even if you hate marketing.

  • Friend of a Friend - Understanding the hidden networks that can transform your life and your career.

  • E-Myth Manager - Stop working IN your business and focus on working ON your business. This was the book that I used to grow FitWell from having just the White House to many other big name clients.

Books: Personal Development

  • Free to Focus - A total productivity system to achieve more by doing less.

  • Best Year Ever - A five step plan to achieve your most important goals.

  • MOO.COM - If you have one of my business cards then you’ve already seen the quality of the MOO products. Hands down, one of the best in the business.

  • Rebrandly - I control my short links by using Rebrandly. Easy to use, makes my links memorable and professional.

  • Fiverr - A marketplace for Freelances to bid on your project. From graphics to web design, research to virtual assistance, I’ve found the folks at Fiverr to be a great resource.

  • The American Council on Exercise - the largest non-profit fitness and wellness certification organization in the world. If you want to be in the industry you can’t go wrong with a certification from ACE.

Business Tools

  • ConvertKit - Your email list is your biggest asset! Manage that list with ConvertKit. Don’t have a website? You can build a landing page on their site to start growing your list today.

  • Google Suite - I’ve used Google Suite to grow my business for years. Easy to set up, Google Suite gives your business an instant professional look. No more emails like BicepDude34@aol.com, you get a professional looking email, cloud storage, calendar, contacts and more.

  • LastPass - have too many passwords to remember? Use LastPass to generate unique passwords for all of your sites over all of your devices.

Web Design and Hosting

  • Hover - Every great idea deserves a great domain name (domain name registration).

  • Bluehost - Hosting and domain services - great if you use WordPress.

  • Squarespace - The all-in-one platform to build a beautiful online presence. This site is built using Squarespace (with the domain name hosted by Hover).

Social Media Tools

  • Buffer - an easy way to schedule your social media posts.

  • Hootsuite - allows you to manage all of your social media in one place. Check out my blog about the Hootsuite class (normally $199, but as a #FOT, it is free).
